
Postnatal Doula
A postpartum doula works with families in the postnatal period, providing them with culturally appropriate, emotional, physical and informational support.
Be With Me From Birth offers a choice of three 6-week packages to suit your needs and support you from as soon as your baby is born. Visits generally last from 3-5 hours, for the number of days a week that you require. I am also happy to do one-off or adhoc sessions to allow for flexibility.

The care provided shall include, but is not limited to:
Spending time with any other siblings before the baby is born
Unlimited text/email/phone support should you have any questions or need any support in-between visits
Guide and support you in routines like sleep patterns, bathing, changing and swaddling
Provide evidence-based information and peer support for infant feeding, breast or bottle-feeding and signpost you to professional support if required
Help you trust your instincts and feel relaxed and confident in your attachment parenting
Non-judgmental emotional support and listening
Debrief your birth story and talk about your experience
Help with new baby while you rest or go out for some fresh air
Take baby out if you would like some time to yourself/self-care at home
Accompany you and baby to midwife/doctor appointments
Support siblings – with transitions, school runs, entertainment, homework
Support/educating in Early Years Development
Light meal preparation based on the nutritional needs of a new mother to help your body recover (like smoothies and soups). Run errands, food shopping, general to-do list
Help in the home with some general housework, washing up, laundry, vacuuming
Whatever is needed to help your family relax and have a positive experience with your newborn baby.
